In the last couple years, Kirsten has jumped head-first into the motorcycling world. She is the coordinator for a number of community events, including her own organizations Engines for Change and Moto Market NYC. She has acted as a stuntwoman, and has helped to produce a number of photo and video shoots for various projects. She also recently completed her first film, The Distinguished Gentleman, as a collaboration with johnnypuetz Productions. She is an active community builder within this world, and is looking to direct her community toward making a difference in the world.
Engines for Change is a newly-formed platform that brings motorcyclists together to effect change. The first event organized by EfC is the Turn the Tide: Motorcycle Beach Cleanup, taking place on September 21, 2019. This cleanup is the first of many activities that EfC will be organizing in the future.
In 2018, Kirsten founded Moto Market NYC, a local community swap meet and motorcycle marketplace. She has organized three of these events, each doubling the size of the prior market. She is always looking for new venues and sponsors, so please reach out.
The MotoSocial is a global event series that brings motorcyclists together. It operates in a number of cities around the world. Kirsten is on of the organizers for the MotoSocial NYC, and helps to coordinate monthly events during the riding season.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is an annual, global fundraiser supporting the Movember Foundation. It raises money and awareness around prostate cancer and men’s mental health. Kirsten is on the Organizing Committee for DGR NYC, one of the biggest rides in the event.
Kirsten is the NYC Chapter Head for the MissFires, an all-women’s riding community. Kirsten brings in new riders, organizes regular meet-ups in NYC, and helps coordinate projects, film shoots, and events.
Motos & Photos is a monthly, off-season event highlighting NYC-based photographer with a focus on motorcycles. Kirsten is on the board of this event, and helps with selecting speakers and award-winners for photography submissions.
